Working on my Sheath Skills

Made a sheath and didn't have knife to fit it. So I had this Camillus kit knife laying around and decided to put Bolivian Rosewood handle on it and tried Tru-Oil gunstock finish for the first time.

#9 New Materials and Recycled Burl

Came out OK. Some flaws. A few problems with lining up the spacers and getting the scales to fit against the guard. First time working with this blue synthetic turquoise. And kind of cheesed the finish on the brass guard so tried stippling it... hmmm.

Recycling wood...

Bought this little burled Maple(?) birdhouse for $2 at the Goodwill store. It's on its way to becoming knife handles...

Recycling Project

Picked up a couple of old Chicago Cutlery filet and kitchen knives at the thrift store. Putting a new handle on one of them.
